Abstract

Circular Polygonal Designs are those designs where contiguous units are deliberately excluded from the sample. Hedayat et al. (1988a, b) first introduced the concept of Circular Polygonal Designs in the field of agriculture. They argued that the units that are situated nearer to each other provide the similar response and therefore should be excluded from the sample. This type of designs are commonly used when sampling in done in the field of agriculture, ecological, environment and geographic regions. A large number of authors have worked on polygonal design with circular blocks. They provided solution to the existence and construction problems of Circular Polygonal designs, however their work is limited to the distance 1. There are very few designs for generalize distance i.e ? > 1. In this paper there are new designs for k= 4 and generalized distance ? =1, 2, 3, 4, 5 for different and v ? 100. More over the method of addition is introduced for the construction of Circular Polygonal Designs.
