The Impact of Social Networks on Team Building and Knowledge Sharing: Moderating Role of Organizational Politics

The aim of this study was to see the impact of social network on organizational team building and attitude towards knowledge sharing. Further, this study has explored the moderating effect of perception of organizational politics (POP) on the relationships of social network & organizational team building and social network & attitude towards knowledge sharing. In this study, primary data were collected through questionnaires from government employees in Lahore Pakistan where the sample size was 140. In previous studies, the impact of social network has seen on attitude towards knowledge sharing and team building, this study has tried to extend the previous knowledge by examining the impact of social network with moderating role of POP on team building and attitude towards knowledge sharing. The results showed that social network has significant impact on team building and attitude towards knowledge sharing with moderating effect of perception of organizational politics.
