Multi-dimensional Efficacy of Public-Private Partnership in the Energy Sector of Pakistan

Public-private partnership (PPP) is considered an important phenomenon for achieving sustained economic growth. PPP is popularly defined as merging of public and private services to achieve specific objectives like sharing of costs, risks and gains by the public and private stakeholders to overcome each other’s limitations. In this research four indicators i.e. resource mobilization, security & sustainability, risk management and economy and efficiency have been used to measure the effectiveness of PPP in case of KotAddu Power Company Limited (KAPCO), Pakistan. Pattern of joint response displayed decisive support for the KAPCO/ IPPs having positive impact on the effectiveness of power projects.
