Abstract

Stress- related Presenteeism is when due to stress, individuals are
physically present at work but their energies are diverted away
from the current task. This study examined the effects of hindering
job demands (emotional and cognitive) on stress-related
presenteeism using the job-demands resource theory. This study
also tested for the moderating effects of mindfulness as a personal
resource to cope with effects of hindering job demands on stress
related presenteeism. Data (N=172) was collected from banking
employees from three major cities of Pakistan and analysed using
hierarchical regression analysis. Emotional job demands were
positively associated and cognitive demands were negatively
related with stress-related presenteeism.as hypothesised
mindfulness moderated the relationship between emotional and
cognitive job demands and stress-related presenteeism.
