A Comparative Analysis of International Print Media about China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)

Print Media is playing its potential role in modern world. Same has been addressed in the case of implementation of CPEC project. Techniques used to ascertain the research paper was content analysis. Objectives of the research are to identify role of international print media in developing public opinion on CPEC. Selected articles on CPEC were taken from four international newspapers that are: Times of India, Dawn, China Daily and The New York Times. The content of the editorials of four international newspapers had been taken. The researcher brought out themes from these editorials and compared its language and discussions made by the authors. The findings present reservations about the entire pact in view of the political scenario in the country; thus media apart from being optimistic is also conveying negative message to the viewership and readership of the print media and online users respectively.The research recommends using a more strategically sound monitoring of the media to involve the public in the implementation of the plan at a wider scale.
