Nuclear and Joint Family System as Moderator among Mindfulness, Procrastination and Job Performance of Employees Working in Organizations

Abstract

The research is carried out to understand the moderating role of family system (Nuclear/Joint) on mindfulness, procrastination and job performance of employees with theoretical support of self-determination and temporal motivation theory. Cross sectional approach with Purposive convenient sampling were used for research. MAAS-Scale (Brown & Ryan, 2003) TPS-scale (Tuckman, 1991) and JP-scale (Wright, Kacmar, Mcmahan & Deleeuw, 1995) were applied on 400 employees for data collection. Mindfulness, procrastination and job performance linkages were found and statistically analyzed in research. Positive association between mindfulness, job performance and negative association between mindfulness and procrastination, procrastination and job performance were found. The results provide sustenance to the theoretical frameworks.
