Abstract

This study examines the impact of mass media on the political views of the youth population of Pakistan. Mass Media has altogether changed the political optics and nature of participation in the political activities of the state. People have more political awareness due to the massive consistent flow of information and talks which not only shapes their opinion but also provides them an opportunity to share and disseminate their own opinion across communities. In this context, this paper intends to identify that to what extent mass media havean impact on the political views of the youth in Pakistan which constitute approximately 63 percent of the population of Pakistan. The results support the hypothesis that mass media play a vital role in shaping up the opinion of youth and overall youth involvement in the politics of Pakistan.
