Purpose: This study aims to establish the relationship between sustainability initiatives and employees' engagement levels in Pakistan's textile industry. However, the practice of sustainability and the extent to which the employees' values match with the organizational values significantly influence the level of engagement among the employees of an organization.
Design/Methodology/Approach: In a primary quantitative research study, data were gathered from 103 employees through questionnaires, while correlation and regression tests were conducted on the results using the SPSS computer program.
Findings: The analysis shows that perceived value alignment is one of the organization's critical elements, and it was the most influential factor for engagement. It is then evident that organizational support for sustainability is significant.
Implications/Originality/Value: The study`s outcomes might be helpful for further theoretical and practical investigations focusing on the fact that textile firms should engage in practical sustainability initiatives and establish alignment between organizational values and expected employee contributions. The study also highlights the limitations of the research and directions for future research to elaborate on these relationships at other time points and in different settings.
