The Alliance of Sahel States: Assessing Impacts and Lessons

Purpose: This research aims to comprehensively analyze the Alliance of Sahel States, examining its formation, motivation, implications, and lessons for regional and global security dynamics.
Methodology: The methodology involves a qualitative research approach that thoroughly reviews existing academic literature, scholarly articles, and relevant publications.
Findings: The study concludes that the new alliance aims to break free from the historical exploitation and oppression of France and other Western powers and to make independent decisions. It represents self-determination, rejects the injustices of the past, envisions a united and prosperous Africa, and desires mutual respect within the international community.
Originality/Value: This study breaks new ground, offering a roadmap for other regions to adopt a similar alliance. The study’s originality is that no other study has been done before on this aspect of alliance, which makes it unique by providing a distinct and valuable perspective.
