End of Sri Lankan Civil War and Regional Security

The civil war conflict in Sri Lanka has ravaged for three decades between Government of Sri Lanka and LTTE ethnic community of its own country. Sri Lankan civil war was a world ethnic conflict. As per accord, in 1987, of Provincial Council Act for providing regional autonomy, Indian forces intervene for peace and normalcy. The accord was also passed from Sri Lankan Parliament to ensure regional security and stability also endorsed by the International community. War was between its own citizens, last three decades where 70,000 civilians lost their lives and hundred thousands were made IDPs in their country including target killings of Rajiv Gandhi Ex-PM of India and President Parma Diasa of Sri Lanka. Year 2009 was the end of this civil war in Sri Lankan history but end with bitter memories of war between two ethnic communities. Regional security demanded peace between neighboring states in the World but the incident of 9/11 made all nations to perform responsive role to save their own generations. Sri Lankan government had overcome the LTTE and regional security was guaranteed by end of this civil war and intolerance. Study will also discuss the facts which were real threats to regional security of South Asian states.
