Abstract

Electronic Human Resource Management (e-HRM) is considered as a key system to enhance firm performance. However, firm performance is suffering because of pooremployment of Electronic-Human Resource Management, particularly in Textile sector of Pakistan. This is one of the reasons due to which the performance of textile industry is decreasing day by day. Consequently, the ultimate objective of the current research is to inspect the influence of Electronic-HRM and mediating role of ICT to enhance firm performance.To achieve this objective, cross-sectional investigativeplan was selected. Three hundred (300) survey forms were circulatedamongst the managerial employees of textile industry in different cities of Pakistan through mail survey. Smart PLS-3 was utilizedfor data analysis. It is found that e-HRM has substantial relationship with firm’s performance. Moreover, it is found that ICT playing a mediating role between e-HRM and firm performance. Thus, current research contributestowards theory by introducing Information Communication Technology as mediating variable to resolve the problem of e-HRM implementation. Therefore, current research is valuable for practitioners while making the strategies for e-HRM implementation.
