Abstract

The present empirical study was conducted to determine the major institutional and technological impediments in usage of information and communication technologies for health seeking information in Lahore, Pakistan. The statistical results of the present study depicted that age, education, type of institution and time spend on ICT’s resources for health related informationwere the digitally significant health particulars. Among various barricades in usage of digitally loaded technologies, lack of availability, inadequate technical and administrative supports as well as provision for ICT’s usage for maintaining health regime were the major acclaimed institutional impediments. Moreover, lack of guidance in ICT’s access, usage of limited accessible engines for searching ICT’s, poor technological performance and expertise as well as lack of updated health information on ICT’s available search engines were the major technological impediments in digital insurances of health certainties.
