COPYRIGHT POLICY
1. Copyright Ownership
The Pakistan Journal of Social Sciences (PJSS) holds the copyright to all contents published in the journal, including but not limited to articles, reviews, images, and supplementary materials. These copyrights are protected under international copyright laws and conventions.
2. Author's Rights
2.1. Authors retain the right to:
- Reproduce and distribute their own published articles for personal or professional use.
- Use the published work for teaching purposes, presentations, and in their own research.
2.2. Authors grant PJSS the right to publish, distribute, and promote their work. This includes the right to:
- Publish the work in print and electronic formats.
- Distribute the work globally through databases, repositories, and online platforms.
- Promote the work through social media, newsletters, and other channels.
3. Open Access
PJSS is committed to open access principles, and unless otherwise specified, all contents published in the journal are open access. This means that the contents are freely accessible to readers and can be shared and reused with proper attribution.
4. Licensing
4.1. Unless otherwise stated, content published in PJSS is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Under this license, readers are free to:
- Share and redistribute the materials in any medium or format.
- Adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the materials for any purpose, even commercially.
4.2. Authors may request alternative licensing options, such as Creative Commons licenses with more restrictive terms, on a case-by-case basis.
5. Proper Attribution
When using contents from PJSS, users must provide proper acknowledgement to the original work, including the author(s), title, source (PJSS), and a link to the original publication.
6. Copyright Infringement
PJSS takes copyright infringement seriously. If copyright infringement is identified, the journal will take appropriate action, which may include the removal of infringing contents and legal action, if necessary.
7. Permission Requests
For any use of PJSS content that falls outside the scope of the CC BY 4.0 license, users must seek explicit permissions from PJSS. Permission requests can be sent to pjss@bzu.edu.pk.
8. Reprinting Policy
The PJSS has a policy of not granting permissions to reprint the same research paper, in its entirety, in any book or other publication. Authors are encouraged to contact PJSS for guidance on how to properly reference and cite their work when reusing portions of it in subsequent publications. This policy is in place to maintain the integrity and originality of the contents published in PJSS and to prevent duplication of research.
